DS-2CD2755FWD-IZS supports H.265, H.265+, H.264+, H.264. A range of features are used to improve mage quality: back light compensation (BLC), 3D digital noise reduction technology (3D DNR), 120dB wide dynamic range (WDR) and region of interest (ROI). 4 behavior analyses and face detection are part of a range of built-in smart features, used to improve security even further: motion detection, line crossing detection intrusion detection and more.
This camera is fitted with IP67 weatherproof housing and IK10 vandal resistant housing making it a great choice for outdoor applications. The DS-2CD2755FWD-IZS can cover a wide area of interest with 3-axes adjust-ability and optional DS-1273ZJ-155 arm bracket makes it perfect for wall mount applications.
The DS-2CD2755FWD-IZS has an optional SD card slot and uses H.265+ compression to greatly reduce bandwidth and storage needs. This camera can be powered by PoE or with a 12VDC power supply. It can be accessed remotely via a web browser or the Hik-Connect app.
In our test, the camera settings are simple and easy to understand. It provides enough functions and controls to adjust the camera to most situations. Our tester advised this Hikvision IPC is easy to install and configure, very durable and reliable and able to stand up to a lot of elemental exposure. In previous generations, dome cameras were subject to IR glare (whereby IR light would bounce off the inside of the dome and "blind" the camera). But now Hikvision has rectified a lot of those issues with newer generations. It now comes down to aesthetics and which one you like the look of more when compare dome cameras to turret camera. Especially some customers still calling Hikvision’s turret camera Pig Nose camera.
Our installer reported the motorised lens did help with typical one-man installation. Especially when you would like to zoom and focus the camera without any help as you don’t have to reach the camera to do the focus. Compare to Bullet camera and Turret camera, dome camera may take more time to zoom and focus if there is no motorised function.
We did focus the camera to an area where there was a strong light with shade in the same picture, DS-2CD2755FWD-IZS’s WDR function did a good job, the result is a balanced picture, you would be able to read the details in the shade with the bright area clear too. We are happy with the result which achieved by the testing model.
The Hikvision DS-2CD2755FWD-IZS dome IPC is an Easy IP 3.0 Series Network Camera, it is inexpensive yet provides good performance. It has enough adjustments, can be used in many applications where limited advanced functions are required. At a selling price of around $330, it is a very economical solution that provides excellent cost performance for many applications.
